Black Twig Communications announces three promotions
Koehler, Howald and Bernds advance positions
ST. LOUIS, MO, January 09, 2010 /Public Relations PR News/ -- Black Twig Communications is proud to announce that after another successful year in 2009, Daniel Koehler, Monica Howald and Melanie Bernds have been promoted. Koehler and Howald have advanced to the role of Account Executive and Bernds has been elevated to the prestigious roll of Senior Account Executive.

As an Assistant Account Executive in the public relations department at Black Twig Communications, Koehler specialized in media relations, media writing, social media, online copywriting and special-event coordination. His efforts have placed stories in USA Today, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis Business Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, ESPN.com and the Las Vegas Review-Journal, as well as numerous other media outlets.
Howald, while working as an Assistant Account Executive in the public relations department at Black Twig Communications, took on responsibilities such as copy writing and editing, media relations and managing a number of the firm's accounts. She has worked with multiple clients in the healthcare and hardware retail industries to brand their companies and products, and increase exposure. Her efforts include client placements in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis Business Journal, Fox 2 News, KDSK Channel 5 News, Hospitals & Health Networks, New Equipment Digest, HealthLeaders, Calgary Herald, and a number of other print and broadcast media.
As an Account Executive in the public relations department at Black Twig Communications, Bernds oversaw and coordinated a variety of accounts along with managing Black Twig's internship program. She developed and implemented public relations strategies for multiple accounts to maximize their presence through media relations, online social media, copy writing, advertising campaigns and special events. She has served as a public relations liaison for clients in a variety of industries including economic development, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit and retail industries. Her efforts have placed stories in the New York Times, USA Today, Fast Company, World Renewables, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis Business Journal, KMOX News Radio, San Francisco Chronicle, Memphis Business Journal, and an array of other media outlets.
In their new positions, Koehler, Howald, and Bernds will maintain many of their old responsibilities while at the same time working hard to bring in new business for Black Twig.
